We consider pre-primary stage as an important input in the strategy of human resource development and as a feeder and support programme for primary education. We aim at fostering the natural development of children and as such the curriculum at this stage is child centered in approach and is based on the nature and interests of children. Each child has its own individuality which must be respected.
The pre-primary section of the school is located in spacious airy and well lit classrooms. The furniture has been provided keeping in view the age and height of children. The furniture is suitable and attractive. The pre-primary wing has an activity room with tempting play material.
Admission to nursery (pre-school) class is made in the pre-school run by the New Green Field Educational Society. The minimum age for admission to Nursery class is three years in the beginning of the new session.
The school has about 70 teaching staff who are well qualified and give their best to the students. Most of the teachers are postgraduates in their subjects with teacher training while others are graduates with teacher training. Pre-primary teachers are graduates with training in pre-primary education (Nursery training). Led by the energetic Principal, Mrs.Neera Bhardwaj, the teachers are highly motivated and deeply dedicated.
CBSE Senior Secondary Exam result was declared in May 2017. The highest score was 95.4%. In English majority of students were placed in A-1. In Economics, Business Studies, Accounts & History, good number of students secured A-1. The highest marks obtained in different subjects--Business Studies 99, Economics 98, English 96, Informatics Practice 96, Mathematics 95, Political Science 95, Accountancy 95, Chemistry 95, Physics 93, Computer science 92, Biology 91, and History 91.
The school gives great stress on co-curricular activities such as Debating, Dramatics, Quizzing, Elocution, Public Speaking and Personality Development. Students participate in Inter School Competitions and earn positions, get appreciation certificates and cash prizes in different fields. School organizes Overnight Camps, Picnics, Grand Parents Day etc. The students are divided into different Houses and Inter House Competitions are organized on Fridays and Saturdays.
Realizing that in the harmonious development of a child the parents influence has a great impact, the school endeavours seeking parental cooperation. Research too shows that parents have an even greater influence on their children’s academic results than what the school does. Keeping this in view, PTM is held every month on the last Saturday of the month where the progress of children is discussed.
Half day workshop for the parents of the newly enrolled students (Nursery) is held in the beginning of the academic session for making them aware about the working of the school. Art of parenting at this stage of child’s development is discussed.
The school provides adequate transport facilities for bringing and dropping the children. School Bus service is available on selected routes in the neighborhood. No concession in bus charges is admissible for using it one way. One clear calendar month’s notice in writing is required before a child can discontinue the use of school transport. Otherwise one month’s transport charges are charged in lieu of one month’s notice.
