School Rules

  • Students shall attend the school in uniform prescribed for the season.
  • Students shall reach the school at least ten minutes before the time fixed for assembly.
  • Students coming late or absenting from school without permission shall submit an explanation countersigned by their parents, to their respective class teacher.
  • Students are strictly forbidden to purchase any article of food from unauthorized vendors near the school premises.
  • During the absence of the teacher from the class, students should be under the discipline of the monitor till the arrival of the teacher.
  • No student would leave the classroom without the class "outpass".
  • Students moving along the corridors or while changing classes, must walk in silence, in an orderly manner and in a single line.
  • Students should be polite in speaking to one another avoiding the use of slang or loud talk.
  • Students should greet their teachers, elders and friends in a pleasant and low tone of voice wherever they meet them. Running and shouting in the school building is forbidden.
  • No student shall remain in the class room during the morning assembly, library period, P.T. period etc. without permission of the teacher concerned. Only two duty students will stay back in the classes during these periods.
  • Irregularity in attendance, continuous unsatisfactory progress in studies, neglect of homework, habitual indiscipline, disrespectful behaviour towards teachers, wilful damage to the school property etc. will be sufficient reasons for removal of a student from the school.
  • Students should make use of the dustbins provided for throwing bits of paper etc. They are expected to keep the campus neat and clean.
  • Students shall submit an application from their parents/guardians for half day leave.
  • Parents and guardians will not visit the teachers without permission of the Principal.
  • Progress report cards should be signed by the parents in the school on the result days.
  • Any wilful damage done by a pupil to the building, library, furniture, apparatus or any other school property will have to be made good by the parents/ guardians.
  • The home work assigned to the pupils by the teachers shall be done regularly and systematically. Guardians are requested to co-operate with the school authorities by checking up the home work of their wards.
  • The students must not bring valuable articles such as rings or other pieces of jewellery to school. The school will not be held responsible for the loss of such valuable articles.
  • The students must not lend or borrow money or other articles from others.
  • Leave of absence for 1 or 2 days, may be applied for, through the 'Absence Notes' pages in this diary.
  • Fine will be imposed on students for (i) coming late (ii) absence from class without proper application from the parents (iii) truancy (iv) wilful damage to school property.
  • Students are expected to keep themselves so well prepared that they could sit for any test or examination any time without notice. This will not be difficult if they periodically revise their old lessons, complete their homework, prepare their new lessons and always seek the help of subject teachers in case of any difficulty in the subject. No preparatory leave should be taken before the examination, unless allowed by the school.
  • Absenteeism before examinations is not allowed.
  • Depending upon the needs of weak students, the school may organize remedial classes beyond the school hours. In that case parents will have to make arrangements for picking up their wards attending these classes, from the school.
  • Physical training, games, sports are compulsory activities of the school curriculum. If any students cannot participate in these on medical grounds, he/she should produce a medical certificate. However, he/she must remain with the class in the field.
  • Parents will not send more than one toffee per students of the class on their child's birthday. Gifts and sweets sent to the teachers will not be accepted. Students will not celebrate birthdays in the school.
